Drie maand na de hersteloperatie zullen er terug zaadcellen in het ejaculaat aanwezig zijn. Als deze van voldoende kwaliteit zijn is de kans op zwangerschap goed. Gemiddeld zullen twee op drie vrouwen van koppels waarvan de man een hersteloperatie heeft ondergaan spontaan zwanger worden; tenminste als ook bij de vrouw in het voorgaande vruchtbaarheidsonderzoek geen afwijkingen zijn gevonden.

Three months after the repair operation, the ejaculate will once again contain sperm cells. If these are of sufficient quality there is a good chance of pregnancy. On average, two out of three women in couples in which the man has undergone a repair operation will become pregnant spontaneously; provided no abnormalities were found in the woman in the prior fertility examination.

Trois mois après l’opération de réparation, il y aura de nouveau des spermatozoïdes dans l’éjaculat. Si ceux-ci sont de qualité suffisante, les chances d’une grossesse sont bonnes. En moyenne, deux femmes sur trois de couples dont l’homme a subi une opération de réparation, tomberont spontanément enceinte; au moins si on n’a pas trouvé d’anomalies chez la femme lors de l’examen de fertilité préalable.
