JoЄl Hubaut (1947, Amien, France) Ц artist, performer, lingua-artist, musician. Covers various areas of the contemporary art, in a special way combining conservative genres of painting and sculpture with video and sound-poetry, performance and installation. In 1978 he established the УMixage International alternative spaceФ (1978-85, Caen), in 1981 he founded a rock group ФNew Mixage,Ф as a member of which he gave a number of concerts-performances in France and Great Britain, also published some musical compositions. He is the author of numerous publications, books, catalogues, among them are the following ones: Robe grillée (Galerie de lТEstuaire Honfleur Ed., 1972), Hobby or not hobby (artistТs photo series, texts by P. Restany, P. Frank and J.-J. Lebel, Westport: Edition, 1983), LТeffarant phare errant du pharaon (Richard Meier Ed., 1984), Poème Visuel (White Walls Ed., 1986), Pie-Pi-Pis théorème de Pieador peinture / poème (Parerga Ed., 1986), Poèmes construct (Ventabren Ed., 1988), The Rabbit Generation (CD-R, Galerie du Jour Agnés B.& Centre dТArt et de Plaisanterie de Montbéliard, 1994), CLOM (Agnés B. Sunrise Ed., 1998), Art-LТAge contemporain (du Regard Ed., 1998) and a number of others. In the collection УCollection Pronto Epidémia 47Ф (Edition de la CREM) he was a co-author and designer of poetry books by G. Luca (#1, 1987), by J.-F. Bory (#2, 1987), I. Messac (#3, 1987), A. Borer (#4, 1991), C. Pélieu (#5, 1991), J. Blaine (#6, 1992), J. Giorno (#7, 1992). Hubaut published a number of sound poetry productions in various collections and literary miscellanies, including the following ones: Bacterial Voice Epidemia (LP, Illusion Prod., 1980), Polyphonix (LP, Giorno System Poetry et Cramps, 1982), Mix Métis Music (LP, Nouveau Mixage et Amnesty International Prod., 1985), Tetines Noires (CD, Boucherie Prod., 1992), Cent titres #1 (CD, CIPM Ed., 1999), etc., and also in the editions of the Centre International de poésie (Marseilles): 3 contre 1 (CD-R&CD, B.
