Mr. Haxhinasto: I think that the case of Frankfurt that you mentioned should not have occurred. I take this opportunity to extend my condolences to the families of the murdered military men; likewise, let me say that however unfortunate this case could be, it has no relevance to the people of Kosovo, its representatives and to their feelings towards the USA but to a broader assessment on civilization, on the adoption of civic values and European values of communication and living. Let me also say that this is an isolated case, which represents, on no account, the spirit of tolerance and the aspiration of Kosovo’s people to have a European state, a state that embraces the most fundamental values of civilization, as peace, tolerance and cohabitation. Referring to what you just mentioned on the series of events affecting a certain image for Albanians, I think it is true that there has been, I would say an intentional and bad-wishing amplification by some international media outlets of these events or reports, as the case with Mr. Dick Marty’s report. However, I think that even this “ flash in a saucepan” raised in the international media on the virtues and values of Albanians in the region will be over very quickly; the claims raised in Dick Marty’s report will soon fall, too. The best way to refute them is to provide the genuine opportunity just as we are doing every other day, so that the claims are investigated to the end and leave no question mark for Albanians, proving that they are European citizens, citizens who pride of the most contemporary values of cohabitation, tolerance, peace and respect, not only amidst their own ethnicity, but with all other nations and ethnicities.
