Mrs. Luciani gave the assurances that this fruitful cooperation will continue through the new Chief of the Office of the Council of Europe in Tirana, Mr. Leidekker. Then the talks were focused on the assistance that the Council of Europe has been providing in the context of election reform in Albania. Referring to the local elections of 8 May 2011, Mrs. Luciani highlighted, in particular, the maturity of Albanian voters, who as she mentioned, manifested genuine European values on the voting day.

Më shumë se 80 individë nga grupet në nevojë, përfshirë komunitetet rome u trajnuan për një periudhë prej gati 20 muajsh në përmirësimin e aftësive të tyre për të hyrë në tregun e punës.

Both the coaches trained and the beneficiaries who participated in the course shared their experience and told their success stories in finding new employment. More than 80 individuals from disadvantaged groups including Roma communities were coached for a period of nearly 20 months in improving their skills for entering the labour market. The process involved group activities, individual coaching, internships, job-seeking methods, training courses, business planning and other skills necessary to compete in the job market. 14 coaches were selected from 4 NGO”s – Amarodrom, Tjetër Vizion, Ndihmë për Fëmijët, and ADRF – and were trained simultaneously during the course of the project.
