In the village of Gombrèn, ten minutes away, you can enjoy a visit to the Jardí Botànic de Plantes Medicinals (a botanical garden of medicinal plants) which was the first created in Catalunya with these characteristics. Also in Gombrèn, you can also visit the Museu del Comte Arnau (a museum) or enjoy a great meal in the Fonda Xesc which is, undoubtedly, an excellent place for the cookery lovers. It is also advisable to buy bread and traditional sausages before leaving.

A més, per a l'exposició en el MACBA, s'ha fet una selecció de treballs més antics com a contraposició a l'obra nova. Entre aquestes obres, hi ha una sèrie de fotografies en doble exposició, centrades en els processos de lent desenvolupament en la vida de les plantes, les flors i els bolets.
For their presentation in Barcelona, Peter Fischli and David Weiss selected a precise configuration of earlier works as a counterpart of the new work. Among these works is a series of double-exposed photographs, highlighting the slow processes of development in the lives of flowers, mushrooms and plants. Furthermore, a selection of their hours long real time videoworks from the series Reisevideos (Travelvideos) will be presented in the exhibition. These videos, shot while driving and walking in and around their hometown Zurich, make us aware of the particularity of every moment. The spectator is taken in by an unfulfilled expectation, as the videos are too long to be watched entirely during the opening hours of the museum. Yet, the onlooker is waiting to see if a special moment will unfold before their eyes, or if they already missed it. However, there is no such thing as 'missing the moment' in the videos of Peter Fischli and David Weiss. They make us look at reality like we have never looked at it. By hiding a large amount of this reality in the length of the videos, the banality of daily culture becomes mysterious, while mystery has faded to banality.

Even the “Indignados” movement chose the site for its camp in 2011 but whether it was for its representative standing or seeking its shade, which is not to be underestimated in the Andalusian capital, is anybody’s guess.

Sobretot no l’engegui si encara té el cap a dins!).
When we do workshops at schools with parents’ associations on how to manage their children’s eating habits, we try to give them practical tools geared towards the target audience, as well as advice on values like paternal responsibility and the idea of educating children on how to properly manage their own eating habits. We explain that there are no good or bad foods, just appropriate quantities and frequencies. But, in the end, the complexity of this topic requires effort and too often we oversimplify our analysis, or become lazy in choosing, or impose adult criteria as parents even through the children don’t like it, or think that we’re all too busy and that managing family eating habits requires work and dedication… Moreover, we are inclined towards magical thoughts, which in food —due to the fact that eating something makes it part of us— are still hugely present. Some of the most common questions include ‘Is it true that milk is bad for you?’ (the argument often heard is that we are the only mammal that drinks milk as adults but we are also the only mammal that eats beef and mushrooms, reads poetry, plays the piano, crochets and uses the scientific method, you see!) and ‘Is the microwave dangerous?’ (I tell them, of course! Above all make sure you don’t turn it on while your head is still inside!) We try to transmit that people must use the available tools and processes correctly, that they need to properly manage their every-day food habits whether they are young children, teenage athletes, university students, busy mothers or grandparents, whether they have a disease, allergy, chewing problem…or any other situation.
