احتفاءً بـ "صوت مصر"، يقيم المتحف الوطني لفنون المرأة في العاصمة الأمريكية واشنطن برنامجاً متنوعاً (فيلم، ندوة حوارية وحفل غنائي) يسلط الضوء على إحدى أعظم الشخصيات في التاريخ العربي والمصري، كوكب الشرق أم كلثوم (1904-1975) وانخراطها في السياق الاجتماعي والسياسي الذي جعل منها نجمة مشهورة، لتصبح "أسطورة الغناء العربي" وذلك خلال الفترة التي شهدت بعض التغيرات الثقافية الأكثر أهمية في تاريخ المنطقة. يتبع هذا البرنامج ندوة حوارية مع الموسيقيين والأكاديميين البارزين في مجالات الموسيقى والثقافة العربية. ويختتَم البرنامج مع حفل غنائي للفنانة لبانة القنطار، يرافقها عصام رافع وهدى عصفور وأصدقاء، في حفل خاص.
