مجدي مصطفى، فنان مقيم في القاهرة يعمل في عدة مشاريع من بينها المشاريع الخاصة بالموقع، البحوث التي يحركها الصوت، تركيب الوسائط المتعددة، والموسيقى التجريبية. يتجذر عمله في الأحلام والنظرية العلمية والطموحات الفاشلة. حتى عام 2010 تعامل عمله بشكل كبير مع الثقافة البصرية والسمعية في حي القاهرة الذي ينتمي إليه. ومنذ عام 2011 ركزت ممارسته العملية أكثر على المفاهيمية والروحية والجسدية التجريبية للصوت 3D. وقد عرض أعماله على نطاق واسع في معارض منفردة في معرض تاون هاوس، القاهرة (2014)، ومتحف المتحف العربي للفنون الحديثة، الدوحة (2014)، وكذلك في معارض جماعية في zkm (2014)، بينالي موسكو (2015)، هايوارد غاليري، لندن (2015) وبينالي الشارقة 11 الذي حصل على جائزتها في عام 2013. وقد تم استضافة الموسيقى التصويرية التي أنشأها على مختلف أجهزة الراديو على الانترنت، ومن ثم تم برمجتها بشكل منفرد على 100 محطة إذاعية. وقد عمل مباشرة في متحف برونكس للفنون، نيويورك (2010)، مهرجان 100 المباشر للموسيقى الإلكترونية (2008، 2009) ومتحف مختار، القاهرة (2007).
