Whereas "employed persons" refers to all individuals (15 years and above) who worked during the reference week ( the week in which the survey is conducted) for at least one hour with a salary, percentage, any kind of profits, or for free. This category also includes those who were absent during the reference week because they were sick or for other reasons.

من جهة أخرى أوضحت الهيئة العامة للإحصاء ضمن تقريرها المفصل والمنشور على موقعها الرسمي بأنَّ المقصود بقوة العمل هم جميع الأفراد (15سنة فأكثر) المساهمون أو الذين لديهم القدرة والاستعداد للمساهمة في انتاج السلع والخدمات خلال فترة الاسناد الزمني للمسح وتشمل ( المشتغلين والمتعطلين) ، وأن المقصود بالمشتغلين هم الأفراد الذين ( 15 سنة فأكثر) وعَمِلَوا خلال فترة الاسناد الزمني مـقابـل راتــب أو ربـح (نقدي أو عيني) أو نسبة أو بدون مقابل  ، ويشمل أيضا المتغيبين عن العمل خلال أسبوع الاسناد بسبب إجازة أو مرض أو لأي سبب آخر .  وأنَّ المقصود بالمتعطلين هم الأفراد ( 15سنة فأكثر) الذين كانوا خلال فترة الاسناد بدون عمل ويبحثون عن عمل وكانوا قادرين على العمل ومستعدين للالتحاق به حال توفره.
