His Excellency GaStat President, Dr. Fahad Sulaiman Altekhaifi asserted that the Authority is working continuously and periodically to develop the related techniques, methods and software of collecting, processing, analyzing and publishing of data. Altekhaifi also added that the Hajj statistics' program is implemented by GaStat in order to provide accurate and detailed statistics, Data and information about the numbers of pilgrims from inside and outside the country. These will help supporting all entities in the country that are involved in the future plans' programs for providing necessary services to visitors of Makkah either for Hajj or 'Umrah, in accordance with achieving the goals of the Saudi vision 2030. This includes all social, health, food and transportation services through using a time series of accurate data about number of pilgrims. It also contributes in the estimation of needed work force to serve the pilgrims and maintain their safety and comfort during the Hajj season of each year. In addition, it enables the relevant entities to study the preparations and main facilities in Makkah and holy places through the results of the Hajj statistics' program and take it into account in preparing necessary plans. It is also used in preparing the necessary annual traffic plan, including the plan of Altas'eid and Alnafrah. These results also support researchers and scholars who are interested in this field. It also helps in the evaluation of the activities and events carried out by the pilgrim services' concerned entities. Furthermore, these results help in recognizing the change of way of arrival.

وأكد معالي رئيس الهيئة العامة للإحصاء د.فهد بن سليمان التخيفي بأنَّ الهيئة تعمل وبشكل مستمر ودوري على تطوير الأساليب والمنهجيات والبرمجيات المتعلقة بجمع ومعالجة وتحليل ونشر بيانات الحجاج لتحقيق الشمولية والموثوقية والآنية في مجال نشر البيانات ، وأضاف التخيفي بأن برنامج إحصاءات الحج والذي تنفذه الهيئة العامة للإحصاء بهدف إلى توفير إحصاءات وبيانات ومعلومات تفصيلية ودقيقة عن أعداد الحجاج من الداخل والخارج لتساعد وتدعم كافة أجهزة الدولة المعنية في برامج الخطط المستقبلية لغرض تأمين الخدمات اللازمة لضيوف بيت الله الحرام الحجاج والمعتمرين بما يتوافق مع تحقيق أهداف الرؤية السعودية 2030 شاملة كافة الخدمات الاجتماعية والصحية والأمنية والغذائية وخدمات النقل والمواصلات وذلك من خلال استخدام سلسلة زمنية لبيانات دقيقة عن أعداد الحجاج ، وتساهم كذلك في تقدير القوى العاملة اللازمة لخدمة الحجاج والمحافظة على أمنهم وراحتهم خلال موسم الحج من كل عام إضافة إلى تمكين الجهات المعنية ومن خلال نتائج برنامج إحصاءات الحج  من دراسة التجهيزات والمرافق الأساسية في مدينة مكة المكرمة والمشاعر المقدسة وأخذها في الاعتبار عند إعداد الخطط اللازمة لذلك ، ووضع الخطط المرورية السنوية اللازمة بما في ذلك خطة التصعيد والنفرة ودعم الباحثين والدارسين والمستفيدين المهتمين في هذا المجال.، وتقييم النشاطات والفعاليات التي تقوم بها الجهات المعنية بخدمة الحجيج ، وتساعد هذه النتائج في التعرف على التغير الحاصل لطريقة القدوم  .
