Shatara went on to speak of Umniah's successful role in the development of cognitive economy throughout the country. The company, which offers secure and high-speed Internet at high capacities free of charge to all the schools and directorates involved in the project, aims to allow the educational sector to benefit from online learning resources. This provides the country’s students with the tools to promote their excellence and creativity. Through the project, Umniah was able to connect over 1.5 million students and 80,000 teachers, allowing the ministry to save on communication costs by holding the meetings remotely through audio-visual system, as well as on the transportation costs that were incurred by the need for ministry employees traveling to governorates. The project was also able to present more efficient and rapid computer systems to the participating entities.
