اعتمدت الاستراتيجية السابقة على كل من مهمة الإحصاءات الرسمية ورؤية ما ستبدو عليه ال NSS في ١٠ إلى ٢٠ سنة المقبلة من التنمية الوطنية. إذن يجب على هذه المرحلة الفرعية المتصورة أن تقدّر ما إذا يجب تعديل المهمة المشتركة و بيانات الرؤية السابقة حسب نتائج تحليل SWOT الأخيرة، ونتائج التقييم والوجهة والمبادئ التوجيهية المقدمة من قبل الحكم السياسي، فضلا عن اتجاهات التنمية العالمية والإقليمية والوطنية. تتضمن المرحلة الجديدة أيضا من منطلق العمل على المدى الطويل برنامج تعدادات رئيسية جديدة ومسح العمليات الإحصائية . رسمت استراتيجية شاملة سابقا لتنفيذ الرؤية؛ و لكن من المرجح أنها سوف تحتاج إلى بعض التغييرات نظراً للتحولات التي حصلت، الجديدة منها وكذلك مكونات الاستراتيجية الأقل أداءً من المتوقع.
