يقول لونا: "نحن في المكسيك نولي أهمية كبرى للحد من مخاطر الكوارث لا سيما أننا من البلدان المعرضة لها... وبصفتنا رئيسا لمجموعة العشرين، فقد أردنا أن ندرج هذا الموضوع على الأجندة- مما يؤكد على الحد من الخسائر البشرية والاقتصادية. ويشكل التعرض المتزايد للكوارث الطبيعية واحدا من الملامح الرئيسية لعالمنا المتغير. ونعتقد أن هذه الجهود ستجعل بلدان مجموعة العشرين ووزراء ماليتها يولون الحد من مخاطر الكوارث مزيدا من الاهتمام .
