APN was represented by activist Mariam Al-Jaajaa in an open meeting for the Committee on World Food Security in Protracted Crisis in July 8 in Rome. The meeting was attended by representatives of FAO member countries, United Nations, International organizations, and International Civil Society Mechanism.

و أكدت هذه المجموعة على الدور الأساسي الذي يجب ان يلعبه المجتمع المدني و المجتمعات المحلية المتأثرة في برنامج عمل التصدي لانعدام الامن الغذائي في الازمات الممتدة التي تحضره لجنة الامن الغذائي العالمي و على اهمية محاسبة جميع الاطراف  و مراقبة احترام ما هو قائم من التزامات بحقوق الإنسان وقوانين واتفاقيات دولية إنسانية التي لها علاقة بالازمات الممتدة. و وعدت المجموعة  بإعداد قائمة شاملة لهذه المعايير القانونية لضمان المعرفة الدقيقة بها و تيسير عملية المراقبة.
