As a new joint project, a Java-based variant of CIB merge & print is already currently being developed for the credit securing information system of RBG (KSI). As a first variation, a Java wrapper will shortly be released for operational use. A pure Java solution will follow that. CIB merge&print JAVA can also be used in the Internet area.

كما قد عمل أيضا أستاذًا للأدب الأمريكي والأدب العالمي بجامعة تكساس  (١٩٩٣ـ١٩٩٥) وأستاذًا للغة العربية وآدابها بجامعة جونز هوبكنز حيث أسس برنامجًا للغة العربية والأدب العربي (١٩٩٥ـ١٩٩٦) وجامعة هارفارد بالولايات المتحدة   (١٩٩٦ـ٢٠٠٢). إلى جانب العديد من المحاضرات حول الأدب المقارن والتنظير الأدبي وفلسفات التأويل بالجامعات الأوروبية والأمريكية والآسيوية وفي الشرق الأوسط، قام بالإشراف على العديد من رسائل الماجستير والدكتوراه وهو عضو بالجمعية الأمريكية للأدب المقارن والجمعية البريطانية للأدب المقارن والجمعية الأمريكية لدراسات الشرق الأوسط وجمعية اللغات الحديثة بالولايات المتحدة. ومن أحدث أعماله دراسة حول العلاقة بين المثقف والشعب في الثقافة والأدب المصري (٢٠١٤) وأبحاث حول التنظير المقارن ونظريات الأدب العالمي والتأويل في المداخل الأدبية للنص القرآني في الدوريات العلمية في أوروبا وأمريكا. ويعمل الآن على دراسة حول الخطاب المقدس في الرواية العربية.
