وصرح سعادة مدير عام الإدارة العامة للدفاع المدني عجمان بالإنابة إن غرفة العمليات تلقت بلاغاً في تمام الساعة 12:17 ظهراً يفيد عن سماع صوت انفجار في بناية مكونه من اربع طوابق وعليه تم تحريك فرق الدفاع المدني من الادارة ومن مركز الجرف الى موقع الحادث وعند الوصول تبين أن الحادث عبارة عن تسرب غاز داخل مطبخ أدى الى انفجار ونتج عنه وجود سيده اسيوية الجنسيه مصابه اصابات متوسطه اثر انفجار ناتج عن تسرب غاز وتصدع جدارن الشقة والشقق المجاورة وسقط اجزاء من ديكورات السقف في الدور الرابع اجمع وعليه قامت الفرق باخلاء المبنى تماما من السكان وتم عمل اللازم و تم نقل المصابه الى مستشفى الشيخ خليفة بعجمان . عبر الاسعاف الوطني مشيرا إلى أن فرق الدفاع المدني بعد أن انتهت من مهمتها ، وتأكدت من سلامة المكان ، سلمت الموقع إلى الجهات المختصة ، لاستكمال بقية الإجراءات

توضيحًا لما نشرته إحدى الصحف وتم تداوله في وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي حول عدد زواج القاصرات في المملكة العربية السعودية لعام 2017 م  أكدَّ المتحدث الرسمي للهيئة العامة للإحصاء تيسير المفرج بأنَّ ما تم نشره هو تحليل واجتهاد لم توفق فيه الصحيفة مصدر الخبر ؛ فما تم استنتاجه من أنه تم " زواج 167 ألف سعودية في سن الخامسة عشر خلال عام "غير صحيح ولم تذكره الهيئة في تقاريرها حيث تم الاستناد في التحليل المنشور إلى عدد من الجداول والتي لا يمكن بحال من الأحوال الاستنتاج من خلالها حساب الإناث اللاتي تزوجنَّ عند عمر معين فالجداول التي تم الاستنتاج منها هي جداول تراكمية وتغطي فترة تاريخية للزواج الأول عند الإناث السعوديات ابتداء من سن الزواج حتى سن الـ 65 سنة وأكثر بما فيهن الأرامل والمطلقات ، كما أنَّ الاناث اللاتي أعمارهن خلال فترة المسح (١٥ سنه ) وتزوجنَّ عند عمر (١٥ سنه ) عدد قليل جداً ، علماً بأنَّه تم استخدام عدد من المحددات التي تقيس إنْ كان هذا الزواج هو الزواج الأول أم  لا  ، خصوصاً في حالات تعدد الزواجات لدى المرأة  وعدم الاستناد الى تاريخ الزواج الأول الخاص بالرجل كون المرأة قد تكون متزوجه من قبل وذلك حرصًا على احتساب العمر عند الزواج الاول بدقه.
