Chronic hunger in the south of Somalia has turned to famine. A combination of the worst drought in 60 years and political chaos has left communities in the south of the country in severe food crisis. Emaciated women and children trek in search of food in scenes reminiscent of the famine experienced in neighbouring Ethiopia in 1985.
