Bu səbəbdən yalnız 2000 nüsxə çap edə bilmişdilər. Bu xüsusi zərfi Erik Hesselberq (Kon-Tiki ekspedisiyasının ekipaj üzvü) ona verilmiş Polineziyalı ad Tane Materau ismindən istifadə edərək özünə göndərmişdir. Zərflərin çoxu Kon-Tiki salı Osloya (Norveç) qayıdarkən geri verilmişdir. 1971-ci ildə Kon-Tiki muzeyi yaradılarkən hələ də həyatda olan ekipaj üzvləri (onlardan beşi) bir yerə toplaşdı. Tapılmış zərflər qalan ekipaj üzvləri arasında paylandı. Bu zərf Erik Hesselberqin qızı Anne-Karin Hesselberq tərəfindən Betti Bleyer vasitəsilə Qərb Universitetinin Heyerdal mini kolleksiyası üçün xüsusi hədiyyə edilmişdir.
