El Doctor Alex Wissner-Gross, de la Universitat de Harvard, assegura que realitzar un parell de cerques a Google genera tant CO2 com bullir una tetera, 7 grams per cada consulta. Resultava menys contaminant quan es consultava l'enciclopèdia anys enrere. Encara que també és cert que Google ens està ajudant a reduir les emissions en altres camps, com per exemple, en el cas dels antics DVD. Les emissions de CO2 emeses per un DVD equivalen a veure Youtube ininterrompudament durant 3 dies. Això està molt bé, el problema és que el DVD costava diners, però Youtube és gratuït i accessible a qualsevol hora i per qualsevol usuari amb accés a la xarxa.

Els guies són els propis membres de la Societat Filantrópica de Milicians Nacionals Veterans, que gestionen el cementiri. La visita és gratuïta i ni tan sols s'accepten propines. I això que l'escàs mig centenar de socis d'aquesta agrupació costeja el manteniment del cementiri íntegrament de la seva butxaca (no reben subvencions, encara que recentment l'Ajuntament de Madrid ha pagat unes obres de millora). Això sí, mostrin almenys la seva gratitud en el llibre de signatures situat a l'ermita.
