Els estudiants que finalitzen el màster en Economia Quantitativa han de conèixer en profunditat els conceptes avançats i les metodologies més recents per a abordar l'anàlisi de problemes econòmics complexos, la qual cosa permet l'aplicació del marc conceptual a situacions particulars dels agents econòmics: individus, empreses i institucions. Aquest coneixement no pot prescindir del domini de les eines quantitatives, tant de matemàtiques, com d'estadística o econometria. Això justifica l'especial enfocament en l'ensenyament de Mètodes Quantitatius.
