Loni zesnulý režisér se zabýval projektem A.I.–Artificial Intelligence, který nyní natáčí Steven Spielberg (před svou smrtí si ho vybral Kubrick). Haley Joel Osment (Šestý smysl) a Jude Law v něm ztvární dva androidy, posedlé něčím, co by se dalo nazvat “lidskou otázkou”. Zda tento velkorozpočtový snímek otevře nový prostor pro moderní frankensteinovský příběh se musíme teprve přesvědčit.
