Although the actions and "policy mix" are to be decided by the member states themselves, the Pact recommends a number of actions that states could take to achieve these goals. For example, they are invited to reform pay policies by adjusting the wage-setting arrangements or wage-indexation mechanisms and to launch labour market reforms, review taxation policies and ensure the sustainability of pensions and healthcare systems.

The conduct of the single monetary policy by the Eurosystem has been successful. The euro is as stable as the best-performing currencies previously used in the euro area countries. This has established an environment of price stability in the euro area, exerting a moderating influence on price and wage-setting. As a consequence, inflation expectations and inflation risk premia have been kept low and stable. Even in the more challenging current environment, price stability in the euro area has not been jeopardised.

Provádění jednotné měnové politiky Eurosystémem je úspěšné a euro je natolik stabilní jako nejspolehlivější z měn, které byly dříve používány v zemích eurozóny. Tím vzniklo v eurozóně prostředí s cenovou stabilitou, což má tlumící účinek na růst cen a mezd. V důsledku toho jsou inflační očekávání a prémie za inflační riziko udržovány na stabilně nízké úrovni. Dokonce ani v současném prostředí charakterizovaném větším počtem výzev nebyla a není cenová stabilita v eurozóně ohrožena.
