Mme Merkel a tenu et animé trois forums de discussion dans trois différentes villes allemandes : Heidelberg, Bielefeld et Erfurt, chacune pouvant être visionnée sur le site. Chaque consultation, diffusée en direct, était axée sur l'un des trois thèmes. Une centaine de participants aux profils variés ont été invités à chaque session : des retraités, des étudiants d'université, de gens de métier et des professionnels, des entrepreneurset des universitaires.
