Depuis l’Alcazaba, on peut voir descendre vers le nord et au travers du Barranco de la Hoya, une ligne de murailles qui arrivent jusqu’à la Colline de San Cristóbal, et furent construite à l’époque du roi Jairan (1012-1028) au XIème siècle. Ce sont les restes des murailles du quartier de la Musalla, qui depuis la colline descendrait au long de l’actuelle rue Antonio Vico.
