After the trip I will try to build awareness among my fellow volunteers, my colleagues in my professional network, and my friends and family. I consider the trip to the Arctic a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and my hope for the future is that other people get the same opportunities I have.

Looking to my future, I can see that, with the hard work of the labour movement in the past, it should allow me to join my profession and raise a family with the assurance of decent pay and conditions and continue to upgrade my education. Having a career that I take pride in and a job that I love doing every day is my hope for the future.

Pour conclure, cette rédaction m'a beaucoup sensibilisée sur l'impact qu'ont les syndicats sur ma vie. Je n'ai jamais trop songé au nombre de personnes que comprend le mouvement syndical, ni de l'étendue des diverses carrières. Lorsque j'évoque mon passé, je réalise que le mouvement syndical m'a permis d'être élevée dans un milieu stable grâce à des salaires décents, des prestations d'assurance et de bonnes conditions de travail. En regardant ma présente vie, tout cela me permettra de choisir une carrière, avec un certain niveau de certitude, et de trouver un bon emploi dans ma région lorsque je terminerai mes études. Finalement, en songeant à mon avenir, je peux voir que, grâce au travail acharné accompli par le mouvement ouvrier dans le passé, je pourrai fort possiblement joindre ma profession et élever une famille en ayant la certitude d'avoir un bon salaire et de bonnes conditions de travail tout en poursuivant mes études. Mon espoir pour l'avenir, c'est d'exercer une carrière dont je suis fière et que j'aime bien.
