The ascent begins heading NW along the banks of the River Cinqueta de Añes Cruzes and then follows a trail that branches to the right and leads to an ibón (glacial lake) situated at an altitude of 2,350 m before it culminates at the Pico d'Eriste (alt. 3,009 m). This ascent takes 3 hrs.

Ici, nous vous suggérons l’ascension aux lacs de Millares dont le parcours démarre de Viadós à 1.740m d’altitude et chemine par le sentier pyrénéen GR 11. On grimpe premièrement en direction N.O. par la rive du Cinqueta de Añes Cruzes pour prendre ensuite un sentier sur la droite. L’ « ibón » se trouve à 2.350m d’altitude et au fond se dresse le pic d’Eriste (3.009m). L’ascension dure 3h.

This ascent ressembles a stairway to heaven. With a steady gradient you walk up the moraine in the direction of the Jägiknubel. Constantly the vew broadens and new perspectives open up until finally the Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in Europe (4,810 masl) shows up in his full beauty.

Cette ascension impressionnante avec une inclination agréable et constante vous dirige sur le dos de la moraine vers le Jägiknubel. Chaque 10 minutes le point de vue change et on voit de plus en plus sommets des montagnes. A la fin le Mont Blanc (F) 4'810 müM se présente à vous dans tout sa majesté.

The upper two thirds were done in 30 cm of snow. There is no point in describing this ascent in detail, particularly as it must be different without snow. It seemed to me gentle and easy, that is all that I can say.

Après env. 2 heures de marche débute la montée du Col de Fenestral. Les 2/3 supérieurs se font dans 30 cm de neige. Inutile de décrire cette montée plus en détails tant elle doit être différente sans la neige. Elle m'a semblé douce et facile, c'est tout ce que je peux dire. Arrivé au col (3:15 de l'Erié), on y découvre sur l'autre versant l'impressionnante Dent de Morcles et les lacs de Fully. Au loin, le Mont Blanc, le bassin glaciaire du Trient, mais aussi des sommets très éloignés comme le Gran Paradiso, seul 4000 Italien.

Les différents degrés de la pyramide symbolisent les divers niveaux de spiritualité à atteindre. Ce processus de ré-intégration transporte l'être humain d'un état individuel et spécifique vers un état supra-individuel et universel commun à tous. Parachever cette remontée signifie réaliser l'intégration parfaite des mondes humain et divin et devenir authentiquement “l'Homme Universel”. Parvenu à ce niveau de spiritualité, l'être ne peut, en principe, revenir à son état antérieur d'individu et donc redescendre les degrés de la pyramide.
