ავიაკომპანია “WIZZ AIR”-ი საქართველოს ავია ბაზარზე 2012 წლის 27 სექტემბრიდან ოპერირებს. ამჟამად იგი ასრულებს პირდაპირ რეგულარულ ავიარეისებს კიევის, დონეცკის, ხარკოვის, კატოვიცას და ვარშავის მიმართულებით ქუთაისის საერთაშორისო აეროპორტიდან. საქართველოს აეროპორტების გაერთიანების მონაცემებით ამ დრომდე ავიაკომპანია“WIZZ AIR” -ის მიერ გადაყვანილია 170 000-მდე მგზავრი.

პრობლემის აღმოსაფხვრელად ევროკავშირმა და „ევროპის რეკონსტრუქციისა და განვითარების ბანკმა“ (EBRD) ჯამში 35 მლნ. ევრო გამოყო. გრანტიდან 5 მლნ. ევრო ამორტიზებული გზის შეკეთებას მოხმარდება, რომელსაც მუშები სამუშაო ობიექტზე მისასვლელად ყოველდღე გაივლიან. ამასთან, პროექტის ერთ-ერთი მიზანი ჰესის ეფექტიანობის გაზრდაა - იგი დამატებით მთელი ქვეყნის მასშტაბით მთლიან წლიურ გამომუშავებას 2%-ით გაზრდის და ემისიებს მნიშვნელოვნად შეამცირებს. პროექტის მიზანია, საფუძველი ჩაუყაროს ჰიდროლოგიურ ინიციატივას, რომელშიც საჯარო და კერძო ჰესების ოპერატორები და დაინტერესებული მხარეები ჩაერთვებიან. ინიციატივა ხელს შეუწყობს მდინარის აუზის უკეთესად დაგეგმვასა და კოორდინაციას, ჰიდრომეტეოროლოგიური მონაცემების გაზიარებასა და ჰესების კლიმატგამძლე მენეჯმენტის საერთაშორისო პრაქტიკის მიღებას. პროექტის მშენებლობისა და ოპერირებისთვის EBRD-მა გარემოსდაცვითი სოციალური სტანდარტების მკაცრად დაცვა გადაწყვიტა.

პოლონეთის პარალელურად, დროებითი, ცირკულარული მიგრაციის განხორციელების მიზნით, მოლაპარაკებები ევროკავშირის კიდევ 3 ქვეყანასთან მიმდინარეობს. თანამშრომლობის განვითარების შედეგად საქართველოდან არალეგალური ხასიათის მქონე შრომითი მიგრაცია კანონიერების ჩარჩოებში მოექცევა; შესაბამისად, შემცირდება უცხოეთში არალეგალურ დასაქმებასთან დაკავშირებული რისკები. ხელი შეეწყობა შრომითი მიგრანტების შრომითი და სოციალური უფლებების დაცვას, საქართველოსა და მიმღებ ქვეყნებს შორის ეკონომიკური კავშირების განვითარებას; შემსუბუქდება არალეგალურ, ხანგრძლივ შრომით ემიგრაციასთან დაკავშირებული დემოგრაფიული და სოციალურ-ფსიქოლოგიური პრობლემები. სამშობლოში დაბრუნებისას, უკეთესი შემოსავლების მიღების მიზნით, უცხოეთში მიღებული პროფესიული ცოდნისა და ორგანიზაციული უნარების გამოყენებას უკეთ შეძლებენ, რაც ადგილობრივი ბიზნესის განვითარებას და ქვეყნის ეკონომიკურ წინსვლას შეუწყობს ხელს. ევროკავშირის ქვეყნებთან დროებით შრომითი მიგრაციის სფეროში ორმხრივი თანამშრომლობის დაწყება უვიზო მიმოსვლის რეჟიმის შენარჩუნების გარანტი იქნება და „შეჩერების მექანიზმის“ ამოქმედების ალბათობას შეამცირებს.
