Elena Mikhailova, research director at Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VCIOM), reflected on migration issues from a sociological perspective. Julia Florinskaya, senior researcher at the Institute of Social Analysis and Forecasting of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economics and Public Administration (RANEPA), reported on current trends in labour migration in Russia. Alexey Antoshin, professor at the Department of Eastern Studies and director of the Research Center for Migration Processes of UrFU, compared Russian and American migration policies and challenges. Issues of social infrastructure transformation under the influence of migration development were presented by Elena Bedrina, senior researcher at the Institute of Economic Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences Ural Department. Viktor Dyatlov, professor at the department of World History and International Relations of Irkutsk State University, spoke on the problem of migrant clusters in contemporary Siberian cities. Mikhail Vandyshev, associate professor at the department of Applied Sociology of UrFU, reported on programmes of inclusive education for migrant children in Ural schools, and presented the data of a recent poll carried out among teachers in the Sverdlovsk region. Alexey Starostin, associate professor at the Ural State Mining University, spoke on the issue of Muslim community transformation in the Asian part of Russia and migrant flows in the region.
