IMA develops, produces and sells worldwide machines and systems for the processing of wood materials, in particular, edge banding machines and transport and handling systems. For 60 years the company has been recognised as a technology leader in the planning, development/engineering and implementation of complex production lines and systems in the high-end area in the sector. At the same time, solutions are provided both in fixed technology and continuous feed technology. The most important manufacturers of kitchen, office and flat-pack furniture as well as door and construction components have been customers of IMA for many years. Worldwide IMA has 900 employees and is present in more than 60 countries. Service and sales companies in western and Eastern Europe, the USA, Canada, Russia, Singapore and China are part of the IMA group in addition to the headquarters in Lübbecke. In September 2015 IMA and the company Schelling from Austra established the IMA-Schelling-Group.
