This revision of the Nuremberg Recommendations for Early Foreign Language Learning presents a contemporary perspective on the intricate web of factors involved in early foreign language learning, with the aim of showing both potential and needs of a four- to ten-year-old child during learning. The early start is not intended to be seen in the context of a particular education system – nor, accordingly, of a particular institution – but from the broadest perspective possible.

Στην παρούσα επανέκδοση των  Οδηγιών  της Νυρεμβέργης για την εκμάθηση ξένων γλωσσών σε μικρή ηλικία περιγράφονται οι σύγχρονες απόψεις για το σύνθετο πλέγμα παραμέτρων της πρώιμης εκμάθησης ξένης γλώσσας, με σκοπό να παρουσιασθούν με σαφήνεια οι δυνατότητες και οι ανάγκες ενός παιδιού ηλικίας τεσσάρων έως δέκα ετών που μαθαίνει μια ξένη γλώσσα. Η εκμάθηση ξένης γλώσσας σε μικρή ηλικία δεν πρέπει να εξετασθεί από την πλευρά ενός συγκεκριμένου εκπαιδευτικού συστήματος, ούτε από την πλευρά  ενός συγκεκριμένου εκπαιδευτικού ιδρύματος, αλλά από μια όσο το δυνατόν γενικότερη άποψη.
