मीराबाई बोली कि हे महाराज जी! भगवान श्री कृष्ण मुझे साक्षात दर्शन देते हैं। मैं उनसे संवाद करती हूँ। कबीर जी ने कहा कि हे मीराबाई जी! आप एक काम करो। भगवान श्री कृष्ण जी से ही पूछ लेना कि आपसे ऊपर भी कोई मालिक है। वे देवता हैं, कभी झूठ नहीं बोलेंगे। मीराबाई को लगा कि वह पागल हो जाएगी यदि श्री कृष्ण जी से भी ऊपर कोई परमात्मा है तो। रात्रि में मीरा जी ने भगवान श्री कृष्ण जी का आह्वान किया। त्रिलोकी नाथ प्रकट हुए। मीरा ने अपनी शंका के समाधान के लिए निवेदन किया कि हे प्रभु! क्या आपसे ऊपर भी कोई परमात्मा है। एक संत ने सत्संग में बताया है। श्री कृष्ण जी ने कहा कि मीरा! परमात्मा तो है, परंतु वह किसी को दर्शन नहीं देता। हमने बहुत समाधि व साधना करके देख ली है। मीराबाई जी ने सत्संग में परमात्मा कबीर जी से यह भी सुना था कि उस पूर्ण परमात्मा को मैं प्रत्यक्ष दिखाऊँगा। सत्य साधना करके उसके पास सतलोक में भेज दूँगा। मीराबाई ने श्री कृष्ण जी से फिर प्रश्न किया कि क्या आप जीव का जन्म-मरण समाप्त कर सकते हो? श्री कृष्ण जी ने कहा कि यह संभव नहीं। कबीर जी ने कहा था कि मेरे पास ऐसा भक्ति मंत्रा है जिससे जन्म-मरण सदा के लिए समाप्त हो जाता है। वह परमधाम प्राप्त होता है जिसके विषय में गीता अध्याय 15 श्लोक 4 में कहा है कि तत्वज्ञान तथा तत्वदर्शी संत की प्राप्ति के पश्चात् परमात्मा के उस परमधाम की खोज करनी चाहिए जहाँ जाने के पश्चात् साधक फिर लौटकर संसार में कभी नहीं आते। उसी एक परमात्मा की भक्ति करो। मीराबाई ने कहा कि हे भगवान श्री कृष्ण जी! संत जी कह रहे थे कि मैं जन्म-मरण समाप्त कर देता हूँ। अब मैं क्या करूं। मुझे तो पूर्ण मोक्ष की चाह है। श्री कृष्ण जी बोले कि मीरा! आप उस संत की शरण ग्रहण करो, अपना कल्याण कराओ। मुझे जितना ज्ञान था, वह बता दिया। मीरा अगले दिन मंदिर नहीं गई। सीधी संत जी के पास अपनी नौकरानियों के साथ गई तथा दीक्षा लेने की इच्छा व्यक्त की तथा श्री कृष्ण जी से हुई वार्ता भी संत कबीर जी से साझा की। उस समय छूआछात चरम पर थी। ठाकुर लोग अपने को सर्वोत्तम मानते थे। परमात्मा मान-बड़ाई वाले प्राणी को कभी नहीं मिलता। मीराबाई की परीक्षा के लिए कबीर जी ने संत रविदास जी से कहा कि आप मीरा राठौर को प्रथम मंत्रा दे दो। यह मेरा आपको आदेश है। संत रविदास जी ने आज्ञा का पालन किया। संत कबीर परमात्मा जी ने मीरा से कहा कि बहन जी! वो बैठे संत जी, उनके पास जाकर दीक्षा ले लें। बहन मीरा जी तुरंत रविदास जी के पास गई और बोली, संत जी! दीक्षा देकर कल्याण करो। संत रविदास जी ने बताया कि बहन जी! मैं चमार जाति से हूँ। आप ठाकुरों की बेटी हो। आपके समाज के लोग आपको बुरा-भला कहेंगे। जाति से बाहर कर देंगे। आप विचार कर लें। मीराबाई अधिकारी आत्मा थी। परमात्मा के लिए मर-मिटने के लिए सदा तत्पर रहती थी। बोली, संत जी! आप मेरे पिता, मैं आपकी बेटी। मुझे दीक्षा दो। भाड़ में पड़ो समाज। कल को कुतिया बनूंगी, तब यह ठाकुर
