On the pious occasion of Nirjala Ekadashi, thousands of people reached Shri Sidhdata Ashram and offered prayers. On this occasion, those who celebrated Ekadashi fasted while Shrimad Jagadguru Ramanujacharya Swami Shri Purushottamacharya Ji Maharaj, the presiding Head of the Ashram, distributed clothes as a blessing to the priests and the sevaks.

निर्जला एकादशी के अवसर पर श्री सिद्धदाता आश्रम पर हजारों लोगों ने पहुंचकर अरदास की। इस अवसर पर एकादशी व्रत रखने वालों ने अपने व्रतों का हवन कर उद्यापन किया वहीं आश्रम के अधिपति श्रीमद जगदगुरु रामानुजाचार्य स्वामी श्री पुरुषोत्तमाचार्य जी महाराज ने पुजारियों एवं सेवादारों को आशीर्वाद स्वरूप वस्त्र आदि प्रदान किए। स्वामी श्री पुरुषोत्तमाचार्य जी महाराज ने कहा कि निर्जला एकादशी पर व्रत रखने का महत्व तो सर्वविदित है लेकिन इस दिन लोगों की सेवा करने का भी विशिष्ट फल प्राप्त होता है। उन्होंने सभी को सेवा करने का संदेश दिया। इस अवसर पर लगी मीठे पानी की छबील पर हजारों लोगों ने छक कर आनंद लिया।

उस सतलोक में असँख्य लहर मेहर (दया) की उठती हैं, वहाँ कोई कहर (भयँकर दुःख) नहीं है। वैसे तो सतलोक में कोई दुःख नहीं है। कहर का अर्थ भयँकर कष्ट होता है। जैसे एक गाँव में आपसी रंजिश के चलते विरोधियों ने दूसरे पक्ष के एक परिवार के तीन सदस्यों की हत्या कर दी, कहीं पर भूकंप के कारण हजारों व्यक्ति मर जाते हैं, उसे कहते हैं कहर टूट पड़ा या कहर कर दिया। ऊपर लिखी वाणी में सुख सागर की परिभाषा संक्षिप्त में बताई है। कहा है कि वह अमर लोक अचल अविनाशी अर्थात् कभी चलायमान अर्थात् ध्वंस नहीं होता तथा वहाँ रहने वाला परमेश्वर अविनाशी है। वह स्थान तथा परमेश्वर सुख का समुद्र है। जैसे समुद्री जहाज बंदरगाह के किनारे से 100 या 200 किमी. दूर चला जाता है तो जहाज के यात्रियों को जल अर्थात् समुद्र के अतिरिक्त कुछ भी दिखाई नहीं देता। सब ओर जल ही जल नजर आता है। इसी प्रकार सतलोक (सत्यलोक) में सुख के अतिरिक्त कुछ भी नहीं है अर्थात् वहाँ कोई दुःख नहीं है।
