35 The present General Chapter, desiring as much as it is possible to desire, both the return to its proper state of our holy Order, and the Order’s reform, accepts, praises, renews, confirms and approves the articles transcribed here below on the subject of the aforementioned reform, drawn up by the great Fathers of the Order after mature deliberation and unanimously, furnished with their seals and written signatures, and strongly commands all the abbots, the commendatories, the abbesses, priors, cellarers and other regular persons of the Order, the conversi, those entrusted to the order or oblates according to the measure in which it concerns their status, and under pain of the censures contained in these articles, to observe and to cause to be observed the said articles with diligence and in as full a measure as possible, and it is imposed as a duty of conscience before the Sovereign God upon the abbots, the commendatories, the abbesses, all the officers, and likewise the Visitators, excepting the article which begins Item, etsi omnino…

Il presente Capitolo generale desiderando per quanto è in suo potere sia la restaurazione sia la riforma del nostro Ordine, accetta, loda, rinnova, conferma e approva gli articoli qui sotto trascritti riguardanti la stessa riforma, redatti dai grandi padri dell’Ordine dopo matura deliberazione e all’unanimità, muniti dei loro sigilli e delle loro firme autentiche, e ordina con forza a tutti gli abati, ai commendatari, alle abbadesse, ai priori, ai cellerari e altre persone regolari dell’Ordine, ai conversi, ai donati o oblati compresi, nella misura in cui può riguardare il loro stato, e sotto pena delle censure contenute in questi articoli, di osservare e di far osservare i detti articoli con diligenza e in tutta la misura possibile, e ne fa un dovere di coscienza davanti a Dio agli abati, ai commendatari, alle abbadesse, a tutti gli ufficiali, così come ai visitatori, eccettuato l’articolo che comincia con Item etsi omnino …
