An alternative to running the CodeZapper macro on your text is to "level" the formatting. "Levelling" the formatting means applying the format of the first character in a selection of text (such as a whole paragraph) to all subsequent characters. Note that this is not the same as "deleting" the formatting, which would cause the character formatting to revert to the document's default.

Un'alternativa all'esecuzione della macro CodeZapper sul vostro testo è quella di "livellare" la formattazione. "Livellare" la formattazione significa applicare il formato del primo carattere a tutti i caratteri successivi, in una selezione di testo (ad esempio un paragrafo intero). Si noti che questo non è lo stesso che "eliminare" la formattazione, che causerebbe alla formattazione dei caratteri di tornare all'impostazione predefinita del documento.

What works for road signs doesn’t necessarily work for ‘On the Road’ or any extended reading. Billboards, headlines, advertisements, short statements on paper or the glowing screen can benefit from the bare-bones, mechanistic effect of types like Helvetica. But most of the words we read are set in type with serifs, far more pleasant to look at and quick to comprehend. (Those few sans-serif types that are relatively readable in text, such as Gill Sans, have a shapeliness shared with classic faces and swellings at the ends of strokes that are vestigial serifs, as Zapf’s Optima. Even bones tend to have knobs at their ends.)

I tabelloni per le affissioni, i titoli, le pubblicità, le dichiarazione corte su carta o lo schermo emettente luce possono trarre beneficio dal bare-bones, effetto meccanicistico dei tipi come helvetica. Ma la maggior parte delle parole che leggiamo sono regolate nel tipo con i serifs, molto più piacevole guardare e rapido comprendere. (quei pochi tipi del sans-serif che sono relativamente leggibili in testo, quale la branchia Sans, hanno uno shapeliness compartecipe con le facce classiche e lo swellings alle estremità dei colpi che sono serifs vestigial, come optimum dello Zapf. Anche le ossa tendono ad avere manopole alle loro estremità.)
