He taught me how to use GrADS (Grid Analysis and Display System) tools to analyze Sea Surface Temperature (SST), Outgoing Longwave Radiation (OLR), and Zonal Wind data for climate variations studies. These techniques are very important for my research activities, and now I am able to apply all of them to my work.

私は横浜の独立行政法人海洋研究開発機構（JAMSTEC）で気変動の解析および予測が可能な研究用ソフトの使い方を学ぶ機会を得ました。私は、低緯度気候予測チームのリーダーである上級研究員のDr. Swadhin K. Behera（スワディン・K・べヘラ）の指導のもと、業務に取り組みました。彼からは、GrADS (Grid Analysis and Display System)を用いた様々な気候における海水面の温度解析、外向き長波放射、風速と風向データの解析を指導して頂きました。この技術は私の研究活動においてとても有用です。現在では、これらすべての技術を私の研究に活用することができます。JAMSTECには、学んでみたい先進的な研究手法や技術が数多くあったので、約50日は短く感じました。私はHSEのプラグラムのおかげで資金援助を頂き、将来の研究に向けてJAMASTECと連携する体制を作る事ができ、とても感謝しています。

Outstanding as a scientist and engineering great, Lord Kelvin was born William Thomson. He entered the University of Glasgow at age 10 and won his first award of many, a gold medal for an essay, at age 15. After studying mathematics at Cambridge University, he became a Professor at the University of Glasgow. He was recognized as one of the world's leading scientists and published more than 600 papers.
