The construction of this database can be traced back to 2001 when the NPM's Department of Books and Documents and the Institute of History & Philology, Academia Sinica, selected Ch'ing historical figures respectively from Database of Ch'ing Palace Memorials and Archives of the Grand Council, and Grand Secretariat Archives. Based on Packets of Biographical Materials, the reporters' names, birth and death dates, birthplace, census data, official posts were made into name authority files.

本データベースは、2001年より国立故宮博物院図書文献処と中央研究院歴史語言研究所が協力し、「明清档案人名データベース」の設置を行いました。「清代宮中档軍機档奏摺デジタルアーカイブス計画」、「明清内閣大庫資料デジタルアーカイブス計画」に見られる清代の人物を対象にしています。故宮が所蔵する「史館档伝包、伝稿」を主な参考史料とし、具奏人の姓名、生没年月日、籍貫、旗籍、官職と経歴などの基本資料を「人名データ」として設置しました。本データベースは、「清代宮中档奏摺及び軍機処档摺文書」データベースと統合されており、検索の際はシステムが目録データベースの具奏人の身分から人名データベースの資料を探し出します。現在、すでに9,632点の資料が収録されており、オンラインで無料検索サービスがご利用になれます。
