スタン: そうですね、実は数カ月前に、PTC や、PLM 領域のその多くの競合企業と共同で、クラウド導入に注目したプロジェクトを開始しました。前提となったのは、ERP や CRM といったエンタープライズ システムの導入が、エンタープライズ市場全体の 20 % ～ 25 % にのぼっていたことでした。そして PLM ですが、すべてを合計しても、そのパーセンテージに遠く及びません。何が違うのでしょうか。そこで、導入企業に関する調査を実施することにしました。すでにクラウドを利用しているかどうかです。ここでデータをご紹介します。現時点で数百の回答をいただいていますが、回答企業の 35 % 以上がクラウドベースのソリューションを利用しています。主流は Salesforce です。クラウドは利用されていますが、PLM はそれほど広範かつ急速に浸透していません。しかし、世の中には多くの需要があるのでしょう。多くのプロバイダが存在するのですから。まだ臨界量に達していない、というところです。
