Fiber optic sensors based on Brillouin scattering is advantageous since they can obtain a continuous strain distribution in structures. Conventional pulse-based Brillouin optical sensors have typical spatial resolutions of about 1 m, and are unsuitable for crack detection.

ブリルアン散乱に基づく光ファイバひずみ計測技術は、構造物の連続的なひずみ分布を計測できる特長があり注目されている。従来のパルス方式を用いたブリルアン散乱ひずみセンサの空間分解能は高々1mであり、cmオーダーの空間分解能を必要とするコンクリートのひび割れ検知には十分ではなかった。そこで本報告では、ブリルアン散乱を用いた光相関領域解析法により、コンクリート試験体のひび割れ検知を試みた。その結果、光ファイバセンサによって求めたひび割れ幅は、変位計で計測した値と良く一致しており、かつ20cm程度の間隔のひび割れを検知できることが確認された。
