Farul de Aterizare a fost construit in anul 1958, iar inaugurarea sa a avut loc in anul 1960. Inaltimea totala a farului este de aproximativ 60 de metri, lumina emisa avand o raza impresionanta de 24 de mile marine. Turnul farului este piramidal, din beton, de culoare albă, având în vârf o cupolă albastră în formă de piramidă cu vârful în jos. Farul este prevazut cu un radiofar, ce emite un semnal audio in codul Morse, folosit de nave pentru orientare.
