Genel olarak, başlangıç noktası anketlerine verilen cevaplar, ülke bazlı anketlerle benzer cevaplar içermekteydi. Test öncesi kullanım seviyelerinin kontrolü sonrası, uyuşturucuyu engelleme müfredatını aldıktan altı ay sonra, uyuşturucu eğitim grubundaki öğrencilerin, kıyaslama grubuna nazaran mevcut uyuşturucu kullanımları daha azdı. Bu nüfus için önemli uyuşturucu kullanım kategorileri olan alkol, tütün ve esrar kullanımında önemli azalmalar belirlenmiş olup, reçeteli ilaç, kokain ve ekstazi gibi “ağır uyuşturucu” grubuna giren uyuşturucu kullanımında da azalma görülmüştür. Tablo 4 deki sonuçlar uyuşturucu eğitim programında test edilen tüm kategorilerde, uyuşturucu kullanım davranışlarında azalmaya sebep veren açık ve güvenilir bir eğilim göstermektedir.
