Switch off the fans. A paper bag is effective tool in the process of pollinating a branch taken from the female plant. Gather pollen on separate branches off different male plants. Close the opening of the bag around the chosen branch. Give the bag a good shake. Pick up the paper bag after one or two minutes and wet it with a suitable sprayer and remove. Also, use a plastic bag with the ability to close. Place the bag on top of the male branch and gently move side to side to allow the pollen to loosen. Gently lift out the bud and close it. You should now find a stem which is coated with pollen. To help in the pollinating stage, position it over one of the branches of the female plants and zip up the plastic bag so that it covers the stem and make certain none of the pollen is able to escape. Carefully hold the stem and bag and give a shake. Give sufficient time to settle, which is in the region of one or two hours, and follow up with a further shake. It can be removed after a couple of hours. A branch stem should now be seriously pollinated and able to show the first signs of the growth in a period of 14 days; mature seeds able to split the calyxes within three to six weeks. A pollinated branch is able to hold literally hundreds of seeds, so you'll likely find that one of two pollinated branches is sufficient for your needs.
