Final expense was $96.9 billion, $0.4 billion less than expected in the interim results. This reflects more complete information that became available after the interim information was presented in the 2009 Budget.

2001 Employment Equity Data Report Manual which includes data highlights based on the 2001 Census and the 2001 Participation and Activity Limitation Survey (PALS) for all designated groups (women, Aboriginal peoples, persons with disabilities and members of visible minorities). The data highlights are based on general population workforce and education information.

Many respiratory diseases can be prevented.  For most Canadians, primary prevention activities focus on preventing respiratory diseases before they occur through awareness and education on risk factors such as tobacco, tobacco control and measures to improve air quality.   In addition, continued efforts to reduce exposures to hazards in the workplace are an important part of preventing occupational respiratory diseases.

You need data clarity in real time. CorVu NG allows you to provide users with dashboards and reports containing up-to-the-minute data. New information can be drawn from the entire company simultaneously and in real time —from transaction data sources, data warehouses or the content of structured files. Or better still, if a processor is integrated, there is no need for a data warehouse to read, merge, arrange in tables, and analyze data from several systems.

SWARM will provide important new knowledge of the expanding and deepening South Atlantic Anomaly, with its serious implications for low-Earth orbit satellite operations. Geographically, the recent decay of the Earth's magnetic dipole is largely due to changes in the field in that region. The geomagnetic field models resulting from this mission will have practical applications in many different areas, such as space weather and radiation hazards as well as furthering our understanding of atmospheric processes related to climate and weather.

The inventory now includes all the major forested zones. The information is a compilation of 48 data sets using the most current data from the contributing inventories. The data consist of area and wood volume statistics by up to 12 classifiers. The volume data are available by 17 species groups using pulpwood utilization specifications. The data are supplemented with information on access, forest section, ecoregions, FAO forest use classes, policy constraint, productivity, and stocking mixture. The growth is now based on volume and age data in the inventory. Sawwood volume, tree size-volume relationship and cull have been dropped since 1986.

This report summarizes the methods and findings of the hydrological assessment component of a project studying the sensitivity of agricultural systems to climate change and an economic assessment of various adaptation strategies, using the Ricardian approach. The model inputs were the climate variables of the 1961–1990 climatology and physiological parameters (e.g. soil properties and land use) derived from global datasets for each of the 0.5° latitude/longitude cells across the continent. Results for the following countries are presented: Burkina Faso, Egypt, Ethiopia, Cameroon, Ghana, Kenya, Niger, Senegal, South Africa, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. The possible range of Africa-wide climate change impacts on streamflow increases significantly between 2050 and 2100. The range in 2050 is from a decrease of 15% to an increase of 5%. For southern Africa for all four scenarios almost all countries except South Africa experience significant reduction in streamflow.Read the document.

This study reviews three broad possible approaches to the estimation of avoidable costs. The first method involves what might be called a classic epidemiological approach. This is probably the most theoretically correct of the three, being exposure-based, but also is the one which has the most challenging data requirements. A second approach is based on what has become known as the Arcadian normal, which uses best outcomes (in terms of morbidity and/or mortality in comparable countries) as the basis for estimating avoidable proportions. It was, however, agreed at the Ottawa workshop that an exposure-based methodology was superior to one based on outcomes. The desirability of an exposure-based approach applied in a situation of data deficiency led to a third methodology using exposure-based comparators, drawing on international data recently published by the WHO on attributable fractions.
