These are the channels that link all the body’s organs, and through which energy flows.

The Diet did not meet of its own initiative, but was convened by the sovereign at a frequency imposed by law, and was more or less well-respected depending on the relations between the sovereign and the nobility. The assembly was consequently convened much more regularly in Bohemia than in Hungary. The duration of a Diet varied greatly based on the session, going from a few weeks to six or nine months in normal times, and even much longer in periods of crisis.

I will have other questions to ask the protection groups, who would like to stop commercial hunting. We need to look further into their actual objections and the assistance they are prepared to provide us with for what they call an acceptable harvest. I am not familiar with the relations between them and your group, but the demonstration made here this morning is a step in the right direction. In any event, we have heard both sides of the story. Now, God help us put recommendations down on paper.

We have thus had a very fruitful exchange of views on the state of the relationship between the European Union and Mercosur, and we have conducted a political assessment of the negotiations of the association agreement between the the EU and Mercosur. The European Union has reiterated the importance that it attaches from the political and strategic point of view to an overall agreement with Mercosur, since it will also involve a very substantial chapter on the political dialogue between the two regions.

More important, the prominent Canadian journalist Hugh Winsor quipped, when it came to bilateral trade, “the real commodity of exchange is people”.22 This was evident in the stream of high-level visitors that flitted across the Atlantic in the second half of the decade, determined to breathe new life into relations. In 1977, Canada’s foreign minister, the lively Newfoundlander Don Jamieson, travelled to Greece to engage in bilateral and multilateral talks covering such critical issues as the situation in the Middle East, Cyprus, and Greece-Turkey relations. The following year, Greece’s deputy minister for foreign affairs, Andreas Andrianopoulos, travelled to Canada, holding meetings with ministers and officials as well as taking the time to visit with Greek-Canadian communities.

The weekly's title page features a picture of German Chancellor Angela Merkel as "Europe's stepmother" and the Kaczynski twins sucking at her bare breast. It is intended to caricature relations between Poland and Germany. In the leading article Mariusz Muszynski, the commissioner for Polish-German relations in the Polish Foreign Ministry, and Krzysztof Rak take a bleak view of the current state of Polish-German relations: "Germany, once our most important partner in the West and our advocate, has become our prosecutor. The crisis in Polish-German relations has become as profound as to make this diagnosis entirely justified. The problem in our relations with Germany is the latter's inability to treat Poland as a genuine political partner. Unfortunately Germany's perception of Poland is changing only very slowly. Opinion polls confirm this. Germany needs an eminent politician who can rid the country of its superiority complex and convince his compatriots of the need for this. Unfortunately there is no sign of such a politician so far."

19.              The main reason why Brassard J. authorized issuance of the writ of habeas corpus was that the children were psychologically deprived of their freedom. This obstacle was removed when they were returned to their father's home, but the state of relations between the respondent and his children deteriorated nevertheless. Further, when the writ of habeas corpus was issued, Brassard J. did not know what the impact of returning the children would be on the ties between them and their father. At that time, H... and X... had not lived with their father for nearly three years. The children ran away five times within a period of seven months of their return to their father's home, until Tannenbaum J. allowed the children to live with their uncle and aunt pending a ruling on the motion. Meyer J. correctly decided that the inability of the children to adapt to family life with their father was a sufficient new fact.

Mr. Laurendeau (1912-1968) was a thinker, writer, journalist and politician who significantly influenced the political and social development of Quebec and Canada in the 1960s. He promoted the implementation of major reforms advocated be the Parent report, such as the creation of a Ministry of Education in Quebec, the democratization of teaching through the introduction of free schooling at all levels, and increased grants to universities. He was Editor in Chief of the newspaper Le Devoir and hosted a television series called Pays et Merveilles on CBC French-language network, which opened a window to the world and other cultures. In the political arena, he was one of the founding members of the Bloc populaire in 1942 and was elected to a riding for this party.
