Fisheries and Oceans Canada, through its own programs and through exchanges with national and international organisations, has acquired a large volume of scientific data and information over the years, and manages these through a set of practices evolved over the years. Since these historical data sets are an extremely valuable and irreplaceable resource of the Department, it is essential to develop and implement a Science and Oceans data management policy to ensure the preservation and enhancement of the data, while facilitating efficient and appropriate utilisation. It is recognised that this policy has to be consistent with the many data sharing arrangements the Department has with external agencies in Canada and international organisations and with the obligations associated with these arrangements. The policy will have to be flexible enough to permit effective new partnerships and to be responsive to new priorities. The intent of this policy is to safeguard the present and future holdings of scientific data, to strengthen the promotion of data interconnectivity, to maximise the usefulness of existing data through standards, and to determine cost-effective ways to manage data holdings. The implementation of such a policy is consistent with the Government of Canada's initiative to rationalise and improve the overall cost-effectiveness of its data holdings.

On the contrary, an interpretation in keeping with the purpose of the Canada Business Corporations Act requires that the de plano appeal contribute to the ultimate objective of the accompanying action while taking into account inter alia the effective conduct of the proceeding.  Limiting the scope of s. 249 C.B.C.A. to those judgments arising from a power specifically conferred by the Canada Business Corporations Act, to the exclusion of the variety of interlocutory decisions made under the Code of Civil Procedure, corresponds exactly with such an objective.  This approach has the further merit of being consistent with the right of appeal by leave governed by arts. 29 and 511 C.C.P. As LeBel J.A. explains:

52(2)c), cf.

This applies to limitations for reasons of non-patentability (e.g. business methods - Art. 52(2)(c), see B-VIII, 1), for reasons of severe deficiencies prejudicing a meaningful search (Rule 63, see B-VIII, 3) or due to a contravention of Rule 43(2) (Rule 62a, see B-VIII, 4). In these cases, the search opinion will also contain the information indicated in B-VIII, 3.3 and B-VIII, 4.3.

Certain medications are only approved for use in specific conditions, generally because their therapeutic potential may be limited or their side effects are more significant: these medications require Special Authorization to confirm that criteria for use have been met, and to thereby ensure optimal drug therapy. As well, other medications which are not routinely provided may be considered for use when the CF Drug Benefit alternatives are not well tolerated or are ineffective. The use of these medications must be consistent with an evidence-based approach, and must be approved through the CF Drug Exception Centre (toll-free number 1-877-469-1003).

Another parameter to take into account is the voice. It’s an integral part of the emotional attributes typically associated with a person. A timbre (soprano or alto, tenor or bass) and a tone are among the elements to be expected in a humanized interaction. The voice of your chatbot must be consistent with your brand image and your target audience: a light, jovial tone for the millennials, a more professional, expert tone for an older or more demanding audience, etc.

The activities carried out by Cirque du Soleil mean that it deals with an increasing number of business partners and suppliers around the world. The company has decided to establish a dialogue with its partners and suppliers on the issues of sustainable development so that Cirque can remain true to its own values. This dialogue has become an everyday reality thanks to the social responsibility clause in our contracts with business partners, as well as the company’s responsible procurement policy, adopted in 2007 and 2008 respectively.

19. What are the minimum and maximum costs acceptable for ELENA? In principle, there are no specific limits. However, the requested assistance should be commensurate with the amount of the investment programme to be prepared and its potential for market replication. In any case the leverage factor agreed upon must be respected (minimum of 20, see above).

Prof. Abby Lippman: To be consistent with everything I have written for 20 years, I couldn't accept that term, even though I know what you're getting at, for the simple reason that for 20 years I have lost many friends and made many enemies by saying in public, in print, that even the simple use of amniocentesis is a form of eugenic approach to life.

Nederlandse Spoorwegen (NS) is the principal passenger railway operator in the Netherlands. With over 1.2 million train journeys per day, they help passengers to move around without a worry. Thus, for NS, improving passenger satisfaction has always been a top priority. In order to stay true to their mission, they realized that they had to enhance customer service during boarding. It was this motivator that started the Real-Time Occupancy Project, of which INFODEV EDI was proud to be a central part.
