« Le gouvernement de l'Ontario a reconnu les difficultés auxquelles font face les bandes relevant de la Loi sur les Indiens pour lever des fonds leur permettant de mettre en œuvre des projets d'énergie verte. Faisant preuve d'un grand flair, le premier ministre McGuinty et le ministre Bentley, au nom du gouvernement de l'Ontario, ont créé le Programme de garanties d'emprunt pour les Autochtones dans le but de renverser cet obstacle. Ce programme n'aurait pas pu voir le jour à une date plus opportune pour la Première Nation de Moose Cree. Les membres de la Première Nation ont été parmi les premiers à soumettre une demande de fonds au programme et ils comptent parmi ses premiers succès. Nous avons ouvert les portes d'un nouveau monde de relations commerciales et avons acquis une capacité durable dans le domaine de la finance des projets, qui bénéficiera à l'économie de la région de la Première Nation de Moose Cree et à la province de l'Ontario pour les années à venir. Nous félicitons le gouvernement de l'Ontario pour avoir élargi le programme afin de permettre à un plus grand nombre d'Autochtones de l'Ontario de saisir ce genre d'opportunités. »

The thrones pre-date the fire which destroyed the Centre Block in 1916 and are among the few items which survived. When the Queen or the Governor General attends the Senate, such as for the Speech from the Throne or Royal Assent, the Speaker’s Chair is removed from the dais.

The three gazebos were built as picnic shelters soon after the park was established in 1904, and they are among the oldest structures of their type in a Canadian national park. The Gordon Island gazebo, with its octagonal shape, sandstone walls and green and white colour scheme, is a highly visible landmark when viewed from the water. Visitors using it as a shelter for their picnics enjoy a full view of the surrounding scenery because of the building's open design. The West Grenadier Island gazebo is similar in design, but constructed of granite field stone. Over the years it has become somewhat secluded because of pitch pine and white pine growth which makes it almost invisible from the water. The Mallorytown gazebo, also of granite field stone, was considerably altered in the 1960s when it was converted to a visitor centre. In 2004, it was completely restored to its original function as a gazebo, offering a peaceful view of the St-Lawrence River.

Insects owe their success to several features. The first of these is their rigid, protective exoskeleton (external skeleton). The rigidity of the exoskeleton means that they must shed it to grow; species go through many moults and some undergo complete metamorphosis before they reach adult size. Their bodies are segmented, with many of the segments fused into specialized functional units. A small size and amazing reproductive ability also help. They are also one of only three groups to fly, the other two being the birds and bats.
