Mais à y voir de plus près, le roi du Maroc dispose de la panoplie complète du satrape oriental : pouvoir absolu légitimé par le droit divin, richesse personnelle illimitée, culte de la personnalité extravagant… tout y est.
It started with a sweeping wave of youthful protest, that brought back hope to a country in dire need of it. The autocratic monarchy was first nonplussed, overwhelmed by the sudden "spring". Then it adapted and fought back, gradually regaining the edge. What happened in Morocco in 2011 was a war of position and speed involving underground activists, maverick political groups, and a subtly resilient royal administration. It was also a conflict of generations, pitting twenty-something wholehearted newcomers against old school, wily politicians. This article is a case study of political tactics and stratagems. Major lesson: regardless of the cause, strategy always beats improvisation.

Elle en était la mère et son mari en était le père, mais l’enfant n’avait pu être légitimé par le mariage subséquent de ses parents en vertu de la Legitimacy Act de 1926, parce qu’à l’époque de sa naissance, son père était marié à une autre femme.
The Galloway case concerned the question whether a wife who had taken divorce proceedings was entitled to seek custody and maintenance of a child born out of wedlock to her and her now husband and who, because the husband was then married to another women, was not legitimated on their subsequent marriage under the Legitimacy Act of 1926. The legislation under which the wife sought this ancillary relief was a re-enactment of legislation originating in 1857. This was the first time that the issue had come to the final Court. There had been a line of cases in lower courts, with differing results, but the prevailing view (as Lord Radcliffe put it) was that the power of the Court to grant the ancillary relief did not extend to an illegitimate child, except a child whose illegitimacy arose from the nullity of a marriage which was the current subject of court proceedings.

"Le Parlement n'est pas spectateur, il est un acteur privilégié parce que légitimé par le suffrage universel" a déclaré le Président Juncker.

"The Parliament is not a spectator, it is a prime player because it is legitimised by universal suffrage" said Mr. Juncker.

Puisque des documents canadiens concernant son ordination ne font mention d’aucune dispense, on peut supposer ou bien que Callet fut légitimé par le mariage de son père et de sa mère ou bien obtint une dispense lors de sa profession chez les récollets en 1751.
Several historians have mistakenly claimed that Léonard-Philibert Callet (spelled Collet) was born in America; as a result, without any valid proof they have readily identified Father Luc as the brother of the Recollet Hippolyte Collet and of Canon Charles-Ange Collet. Nothing is known of Léonard-Philibert’s youth until 20 March 1751, when he made his profession under the name of Brother Luc with the Recollets of the province of Saint-Denys. Shortly afterwards he arrived in Canada, where he received the minor orders and the diaconate on 23 and 24 Dec. 1752; he was ordained a priest on 24 Feb. 1753, without any of the difficulty which might have arisen because of his illegitimate birth. Since the documents in Canada concerning his ordination make no mention of any dispensation, it may be that Callet had been legitimized by the marriage of his father and mother, or that he had obtained a dispensation at the time of his profession in the Recollet order in 1751.
