The CPI, in consultation with the Director of the Clinical Program, determines the admissibility of students for internship according to the policies and procedures of the School of Psychology. The CPI provides guidance to the students who need information on internships. The CPI receives and maintains up to date the files of internship centres which offer a program of training and the CPI informs the students accordingly. The CPI organizes a yearly meeting in September with students who plan to start their internship the following September in order to inform them concerning internship policy, applications procedures, internship offers, and any other relevant issue. At the same time the CPI organizes the annual meeting with the person responsible for internships at local internship centres and the students. In collaboration with the Director of the Clinical Program, the CPI writes the letters of recommendation for students who apply to internships, letters which are co-signed by the CPI and the Director of the Clinical Program. The CPI remains available to meet with students individually to review the choices for internships, to discuss them and to approve them. The CPI is the student's advisor for all questions related to internships. The CPI remains available on the selection day, the 2nd Monday of February, in order to answer all questions from internship centres and to solve any problematic cases of students with no placement. The CPI receives the evaluation of interns and insures that these evaluations are kept in the student's file. The CPI refers any problem of unsatisfactory evaluation to the Clinical Program Committee.
