Prior to the Jasper Trails Project, there were approximately 190 km of signed, official multi-use trail in the valley. Through consultation with trail users, the park is in the process of adopting and building an additional 90 km of trail, increasing the offer to ~280 km. The majority of these trails are multi-use and can be used by bikers, horse users and hikers. Trails that exist, but are not signed, are not official and cannot be used by bikes and horses. Unofficial trails will be rehabilitated on a priority basis as determined by Parks Canada.
