After all, veggie sausages and lactose-free milk are now not only consumed by vegetarians and allergy sufferers. Consumers consider these products more as new sources of protein. According to the findings of Mintel experts, the alternative is now becoming part of the mainstream. Mintel explained that the issue of sustainability is becoming a necessary component when it comes to designing new concepts. Both the food product and the packaging should be sustainable. "Eco is the new reality" – the Trade Forum also showcased new solutions relating to this.
