In my father's case he did try to go for the licence at one point, but in the end the requirements were a little bit onerous so he ended up deciding not to go for it. My mother has since left the profession. I think my parents would still have come to Canada. I think they probably would have gotten the ball rolling before they came to Canada in terms of preparing their papers and their course descriptions, so that as soon as they came they would be able to start their licensing process and maybe have other career opportunities open to them.
