The, Ivvavik, Vuntut and Herschel Island site is a land rich in wildlife, in variety of landscape and in vegetation. Vuntut National Park of Canada includes part of the Old Crow Flats, a vast area of lakes, ponds, wandering rivers and sodden tundra that is recognized to be of global importance for breeding and migratory waterfowl. The chorus arising from the flats on a spring morning is as unforgettable as the stillness of the flats on a winter night. North of the flats in Ivvavik National Park of Canada lie the Richardson Mountains, home to Dall sheep, moose and among the highest concentrations of grizzly bears known. On the tundra plains bordering the Beaufort Sea, the Porcupine Caribou Herd, one of the largest herds of migratory ungulates in the world, wanders on its seasonal migrations. Herschel Island Territorial Park (Qikiqtaruk) protects a unique combination of natural and human heritage and was Yukon’s first territorial park. The entire area was bypassed by the Pleistocene glaciers, as evidenced by palaeontological and archaeological sites which include some of the best-preserved assemblages of ice-age fauna, and some of the oldest human remains yet discovered in the Western Hemisphere.

Grâce à son emplacement, la baie est à l'abri de tous les vents, et c'est l'un des plus grands ports naturels de la mer Adriatique. La Telascica est très riche en faune, et un endroit important pour la reproduction de nombreuses espèces de poissons.
One of the most beautiful coastal places in Croatia is Telascica nature park. Located on the island of Dugi otok, Telascica is a large bay, about 8 km long with its widest part being about 1.6 km wide. It consists of 25 small coves, capes and 5 islets. Due to its location, the bay is sheltered from all winds, and it is one of the largest natural harbors in the Adriatic. Telascica is very rich in wildlife, and a significant place for the reproduction of many fish species. In the park there are numerous species of fish, mollusks, sponges, crabs, snails and other sea creatures. A frequent guest of this park is a so-called common bottlenose dolphin. On the park's seabed one can find: red coral, which is very rare today, endemic shell called noble pen shell, and many other species. Telascica bay is a paradise for amateur yachtsmen. They can moor their boats for free using buoys in the following coves: Mir, Tripuljak, Krusevica and Kucinmul. If you're not arriving by your own boat, you can reach the park as a part of one of the excursions organized by numerous tourist agencies, or by ferry going to Sali from Zadar, and then continue by car (car rental). It is allowed to dive in the park, in some locations, but only with a prior notification and a permit issued by the public institution Telascica Nature Park. These are some of the special places to see in the park: lighthouse on the island of Vela Sestrica, Taljuric cliff, island of Katina, Lojisce beach, Cuscica Uvala beach, Cuska dumboka, Mir Lake (salty lake), Roman villa rustica in Mala Proversa, Skraca, Golubinka cave by the open sea, St. Anthony's Church in Dugo polje, Veli vrh viewpoint, St. John's Church in Stivanje polje, Church of St. Victor on the Citorij, karst and olive fields, field puddles, Grpascak viewpoint, Tumuli on Gominjak, donkey sanctuary. This nature park is open to visitors at all times, and we mentioned the opening hours of the public institution Telascica Nature Park.
